Uncle David’s 1st Quarter Frontlines Report

Greetings from Bolivia, South America. About 3 weeks ago, as I was on my way north for a speaking appointment in the U.S., I stopped in Brazil and Guyana to spend time with the team there and then planed on going on to Puerto Rico, Miami and Tennessee.

Along the way I heard that due to the virus that borders were closing and I decided to contact the people I had appointments with and they said “We believe that this may be a long term situation, and are praying about it. Please can we move these meetings to a later time?”

Tsushima Volunteer Mission Report – January 2020

Since last year, we have been preparing for a new agricultural project which will start next year. We are going to teach local children and their parents how to grow vegetables and fruit, and also how to fix agricultural machines by working together.

Since last year we had been praying to God about land to start the project but we could not find enough land for the project. So we just kept praying without giving up. “You’d better get enough food for the workers to last a while,” I replied “as well as gasoline and diesel in case the electricity shuts down.”

August 2019 Tsushima Volunteer Mission Report

Hello everyone,

Last month our church member Elder Nakaniwa, who was the first man baptized into the Adventist church on Tsushima, died in an accident when he visited an elderly care center. He was 79 years old, and a very dedicated and faithful member of our small church. We were very shocked and saddened by his sudden death.
All of his relatives are Buddhist, so no one had ever attended a Christian funeral and had never heard about what Jesus did for us.
