Wayne and Shelley Senner: India Trip Report, October 20, 2007

airport terminal at 3:45 Wednesday morning. Since we
are staying three months in India this time, all our
checked-in suitcases were packed as much as they could
hold, weights ranging from 50 to 65 lbs. All were
tagged with orange “heavy†labels. The carry-on’s
were limited to 15 lbs, and the camera and laptop bags
to 9 lbs. each. These being full of our equipment,
Wayne was wondering where to pack some of his clothes.
The solution was to wear all his extra clothes which
wouldn’t fit into the luggage. Under his jeans he
wore two pair of underwear, his pajama bottoms, and a
pair of sweats. On top he wore the pajama top, two

Bethany Medical Missionary College | October Update

Since the time our 40 foot container left the shores of California, it has been a matter of prayer to many of you. It is wonderful to step back and see how God truly answered all of our earnest prayers for His intervention. His first miracle was that our container arrived two weeks early. We contacted our broker and discussed whether or not he believed it could be cleared duty free. After looking at the value of what we had in the container, he was not only concerned that we would not get a duty free status, but that we might have to pay anywhere from $5,000 to $10,000 in fees! Immediately we were back on our knees asking for God’s will to be done. We knew this amount of money could be put to such good use on the front lines instead of in the hands of government officials, but we had to trust that God would work it out to His glory.
