Tsushima Volunteer Mission Report – January 2017

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ                                                                      January 9, 2017

We hope all is well with you and your family. Thank you very much for your letters with donations last year. Using your precious support with your prayer, we could go and help many people who had been suffering by losing their home and their loved one from the earthquake attack in Kyusyu Island last year.

Last week we had a small evangelism camp meeting at Saga city, western part of Japan and had visited many houses to spread the gospel by passing the Adventist message tracts and Adventist health magazines. When we came back to our church around 8 PM, we saw 5 children playing in front of the church parking lot in a very cold night with scanty clothing. We asked them where their parents were. They answered that their parents were still working and not in home until next morning. As we got to talk with them, we got to know that their parents were not taking care of them well. Their youngest brother was still 3 years old and he did not take a bath for long time, neither taking enough nutrition every day. So we called their parents and asked them to let them stay at church and to give them food to eat while we had evangelism meeting. Their parents had a financial problem so they were very glad and begged us to give them a bath and let their children stay in church. After they ate enough food and took a warm bath, we prayed for them and read bible story before their going to bed. Wonderfully they looked very happy, showing their shinning eyes. After a while, the oldest sister asked us whether if it is possible to help our evangelism work by passing the Adventist message tracts with us next morning or not. So we said Of course!! We went together next morning. Eventually we were able to pass 3 times more Adventist message tracts than usual to those who never heard of Jesus Christ. It was such a wonderful time for us to see that children accepted Christ love with their pure hearts and help our mission.

Please pray for them and their parents. They need to know Jesus and his love.

15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Colossians 3:15-17 (KJV)

Thank you very much for your prayer and support. May god bless you richly!!
