A Japanese Fisherman Caught by Jesus

Hi Everyone,

This is Kimi Kurihara and my family and I are working for Jesus as volunteers in a small island of Japan called Tsushima. Since we came here, God has opened the new door to spread the Gospel to those who never heard of Christ Jesus in the island.

Our recent good news is about a fisherman we met 5 months ago, who had lived hopelessly his whole life, and actually had attempted suicide two times before. But God never allowed him to die before knowing Christ. He was saved somehow in a hospital twice.

By God’s guidance and Holy Spirit, this fisherman accepted Christ as his personal Savior through the continuous prayer and daily bible study. It is very remarkable thing that a Japanese fisherman converts from Buddhism to Christianity practically.

Now he has totally new hope and new joy in Christ!

His baptism ceremony is going to be held on August 8, 2015, so please pray for him specially for being protected from Satan by GOD.

Sometimes there are times when we feel very difficult to go forward to spread the Gospel because most of the people living in the islands are Buddhist, but God always let us meet a person who really wants to know the truth and need His help by his miraculous way and provides our needs every single time in his timing even though we have no salary since we came here.

Every time when we face difficulties, God reminds us of the bible sentences which is Isaiah 55:8-9.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

May God be always with each of you.
